The 58th edition of the IATA Dangerous Goods Transport Regulations (DGR) has been released and will be implemented on January 1, 2017. The cargo air transport appraisal issued by the old version of the 57th DGR will expire on December 31, 2016. Therefore, the double battery laboratory reminds customers to update the lithium battery cargo appraisal in advance.
For the transportation of lithium batteries, the 58th edition of the DGR Packing Instructions PI965-970 does not change the packaging requirements of the goods. Only the lithium battery operation label and the labeling style of the ninth dangerous goods are changed.
I. Introduction to Changes in the New Version
1.UN Sixth Edition
1.1 Test 4 Impact
The relaxation of the peak acceleration test conditions requires calculations based on formulas that exceed the specified mass, as follows: ① For small batteries exceeding 4.48Kg, the peak acceleration will be less than 150gn; ② For large batteries exceeding 12Kg, the peak acceleration will be less than 50gn.
